Who are my students?

My students are athletes, musicians, scientists, and artists. They are talented and smart, but some have forgotten that they are, because they struggle with a subject or two. They range from elementary school children through adults working toward a GED. Some are getting extra help with subjects like reading, writing, and math, while others are learning study skills and test preparation. Some are homeschooled students, while others go to traditional school. Some meet with me online and others learn in person in Lexington, KY.

In addition to 1:1 tutoring, some students meet with me for classes, which you can find here. Other students participate in IEW (Institute for Excellence in Writing) classes virtually from Meadow Hill Homeschool Organization in Carlisle, PA.

I can’t praise Mrs. Henne enough for our incredible year and for Jack’s growth, academically and socially. I would not hesitate to recommend Mrs. Henne’s tutoring services to parents looking for a tutor in Math, ELA or study skills at any grade level. As a 9th grader, I remember that my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Henne has always been one of my favorite teachers to this day. I remember how she was nice to all the students, even those who gave her trouble. Lastly, I love how she taught, she made learning the content fun and engaging. Tyler, Grade 9

Having Bridget tutoring our son for nearly 7 years was one of the best things that could have happened to our family. Having Bridget, took away our stress and frustration when it came to assisting our son with his school work. Mrs. Henne, as a gifted educator, gets to know her students well. She not only worked with my son on his weaknesses, but also on his strengths. She encouraged him in his writing because she saw that it was something he did well. To this day, I am blown away by his written work. I truly believe that it was the encouragement of Mrs. Henne that allowed him to learn, grow, and take risks when expressing himself in written form. When an educator takes the time to know your child and then also provides a safe environment for him to learn and grow…that is an educator you want to have around.
